What to do if the HubController screen is blank or unresponsive?
If your screen is black a hard reboot should resolve the issue. The hard reboot means taking off the front panel and putting it back on.
Step 1
Get the safety tool.
If your screen is black a hard reboot should resolve the issue. The hard reboot means taking off the front panel and putting it back on. To take the front panel off, you will need the safety tool the installer left after the installation.

Step 2a
Remove the front panel using the safety tool.
Align the safety tool with the left side of the Hub Controller. Make sure the release buttons highlighted yellow in the image are in line with the tool. Push the tool towards the right until the buttons are pressed. Pull the front off the base while pressing the release buttons. See the video below.
Step 2b
Remove the front panel without the safety tool.
If you don’t have the safety tool at hand, you can use the top of a small screwdriver to push in one of the release buttons highlighted yellow in the image. See the video below to find out how to remove it.

Step 3
Connect the front panel back.
The left side of the device will disconnect from the back backplate and you can then remove it. Once you have it off you, just need to click it back on. Make sure you align the right side of the front panel with the base plate first and then push the left side until it clicks.
